Glen Campbell Diagnosed With Alzheimer's

Glen Campbell smiled when he talked about his five decades in the music business.

"I'm blessed," the musician told ABC Terry Moran in an interview. "I really did. I thought that I am not that bright, but God gave me a break."

In the first TV interview since Campbell goes public with his Alzheimer's diagnosis, "Rhinestone Cowboy" singer seemed in good spirits despite the fact that words struggle at times.

The musician told Moran he has not "felt it yet," referring to the degenerative disease.

"I've always been forgetful anyway. I am only what - 78" helpful His wife Kim Woollen corrected him: "75".

"Oh, so I've got a few," he joked.

Wool Sat alongside her husband when she helped him to answer a few questions. Campbell acknowledged how fortunate he was to have her, even if he could not remember some of the details of their courtship. "Did you see me or I find you?" He asked his wife. "I think we found each other," she said.

The musician will release his latest album, "Ghost in the Canvas," at the end of the month and plans to go on tour to say goodbye to his fans. Backed by a band with three of his children, Campbell will begin the tour in Toronto at the end of August.

Indeed, it was when Campbell picked up a guitar and began to "Wichita Lineman" that he looked at his best play, "Oh, that's a great song.
